A photo of my camera duct taped to my bike!
This is the video I created, I had originally intended a different video, but when I saw this I had to share it.
Graduate students from the University of Miami created and designed this site. I thought it was a simple, unique way of presenting information. So I thought I would share it =)
Hilarity!
I found this comic and thought it was hilarious. I love the Oatmeal.
BEHOLD!
I hope I did this correctly.
This is a screenshot from a site called explorefairbanks.com, A place where tourists can go to discover more about the Heart of Alaska.
I actually met the woman who designed the site in another class and she said that they are still working out a few adjustments on the site.
Otherwise, I think it’s definitely simple, straight to the point, and easy for outsiders to find out what they need to about the city.
This is a screenshot from kparkphoto.com which is a local photography business called Kelsey Park Photography. I really like it because it is beautiful, simple and elegant. Very easy to find all the things you’re looking for from the opening page.
This is my fake banner for the Cat’s Meow!
I am in no way affiliated with this store, but I knew I wanted to do a vintage looking banner, so I just stole the name. Shhhhhh….don’t tell anyone!!!
S-U-C-C-E-S-S
That’s the way you spell success!!
I adjusted the colors of a few things, but that’s because the wood and tag didn’t really work well with my black and white photos =)
For my assignment, I’ve decided to review a commonly used website called Hulu.com.
I think that website is simple, and easily manageable, but nothing too flashy and interesting.
I was surprised to find that there are 79 images used on the main page alone, and their accumulative file size is roughly 208 KB.
Although I can navigate the page without the images, the page becomes very messy looking and confusing. Many of the images on the page serve as links, and although the links are still there without the images present, It’s harder for you to find the show that you want to watch. They do make good use of flash, but the images are what really give the page it’s color and interest. I think that the site definitely makes a good use of images.
PHOTSHOP RAP
Watch this video if you want a quick, non-boring lesson on photoshop. =)
Take a look at these examples….and never EVER create anything like it.
Thank you!
